When I first saw that this was on Sierra 117 I was like “omg modded”. This flower is really amazing! The texture, and its pretty unique as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if the person who took this won. Nice work, I love it. This deserves to be in the best of the best landscape gallery.
Seriously, that’s amazing lighting, amazing detail… It’s VERY difficult to believe it’s in Halo 3, but the green leaves look very much like Sierra 117 flowers.
I just realized you can tell this is in a video game due to one SMALL flaw. Look at the center of the flower, then look down maybe 1/4-1/2 inch. You see a little leave poking through the flower, but it’s very clean cut, obviously clipped in on accident.
I’m not sure what criteria that website uses to judge its winners. I will say that if I was running the contest, it would definitely be a top contender. The lighting you managed to get on it is beyond spectacular. Good luck!
There’s no way that was in the game. It looks like a photoshopped picture of a flower placed on top of a background of the game. Buut still, nice f***** job!

This screenshot was taken on sierra 117 though, so maybe the flowers there are different then the ones on valhalla and other matchmaking maps

Check the beginning of Sierra 117 before you fight anything, there’s a few flowers around that look amazing.
