I don’t think it was shopped. I’ve seen it around in a few people’s File Shares. It could be modded, but I doubt it. You never know what kind of weird glitches people run into.
I wouldn’t think it’s photoshopped (although I’m not 100% sure of course) as it was pulled directly from b.net. I simply assumed it was some sort of a glitch, similar to those Hayabusa shots that were really shiny.
I believe this is caused by the game not properly loading the weapon skin, maybe by a scratch or some other thing. However, it will only show in solo-theater, as the host must have the scratched disk for it to ‘work’.
In any case, looking at it; it does look like it failed to load the skin. It looks similar to the ‘code balls’ on Sandtrap or when you glitch the buildings on Valhalla to show a letter code.
